This was May Bank Holiday!

Britt at anchor

Hard to believe that this was May Bank Holiday - such a wonderful day out with the family on dear old "Britt", a trip out to sea and then the beach with a picnic - we all got sunburnt!

Welcome to Fingals Apart 2018

The Lane to Fingals

The snow is thawing, it is the first day of Spring and we are so excited with our new website. You can now view a 3D tour of each cottage with a 'dolls house' image which will give an overall picture ... nothing is left to the imagination any longer and you can plan who will be staying where before you arrive! Hoorah for the latest in technology!

Holiday by the stream

Barberry Brook

Opened in January 2018 Fingals Barberry Brook is our newest, cosiest cottage apartment. Sitting right by the stream with a brand new kitchen/sitting-room on the ground floor this is the perfect place for a quiet break by yourselves, with a friend or with children who are prepared to sleep on the sofabed!

Little jewels appearing in our garden!

Our first brave daffodils

"I wonder what spendthrift chose to spill
Such a bright gold under my windowsill?
Is it fair gold, does it glitter still?
Bless me! It's a daffodil!"

Celia Thaxter

Can there be a Folly of Rainbows?

A Folly Rainbow

Isn't this lovely - Richard was in the right spot to capture the Folly under a double rainbow (you have to squint a bit!).

Hiding from the real world!

Reading at the Folly

The Folly is full of books and where better to retreat for a peaceful moment or two, a little quiet contemplation and some quality Me Time?
